Miike Snow, a Swedish band, who formed in 2007, has got me hooked on their music! I set at work and cant stop listening to them and what seems to be an endless amount of remixes, including a really good dubstep mix by Caspa (available in this post). Sure they dont have as many remixes as La Roux but thats for a later post I do believe. The band consists of singer/songwriter Andrew Wyatt, and the producing team of Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, also known as Bloodshy & Avant.
Well I am going to post 2 good songs and a Music Video. People of Syracuse Indiana Download and Enjoy.
DJ Tanner Has done it again with a NEW MIX!!! One of our favorite DJ/producer is Diplo, so I decided to post about him. Plus I found this amazing Santogold Remix he did yesterday which is below.
Here is a litte about Diplo:
One thing of which Diplo (aka Diplodocus, Wes Diplo, and Wes Gully) cannot be accused is being afraid to experiment with new music. With his mash-up mixtapes, he found and created a sound where his musical tastes — ’80s pop, electronica, Dirty South hip-hop, and his major influence, Miami bass music — intersect. His attention-grabbing projects Hollertronix, with partner DJ Low Budget, and the Piracy Funds Terrorism, Vol. 1 mixtape, with elusive British-Sri Lankan MC M.I.A., made a heavy impact on the alternative electro-pop scene, amassing him rave reviews from music critics and indie kids alike, including Spin magazine, which named him DJ of the Year in 2005.
Diplo is an amazing DJ and everyone needs to hear some of this so play the track below and if you want to hear more click on the links below to take you off to some more mixes and mashups that will get you on your feet.
Forgoing the flimsy vocoder-reliant sound of their 2006 debut, Toronto duo Jesse F. Keeler (formerly of Death From Above 1979) and Al P. have gotten better by getting heavier. With crunching synth riffs, fat house rhythms, and thick Justice-style scuzz, tracks like “It Ain’t Love” and “1000 Cigarettes” accommodate both headbangers and hip-shakers. Though guests such as Ghostface Killah and E-40 get a bit lost in the maelstrom, things only drag when the sound softens, as on the bland, John Legend showcase “Heartbreaker.” Fist isn’t quite a God punch, but it hits with legit impact.
Kid Sister is Chicago. She makes club rap and works at a children’s clothing store slanging bibs and teething rings until her imminent blow up takes place. Yes, her DJ (J2K of Flosstradamus) is her real brother, and yes that does rule. Together they‘ took the Chicago music scene by storm rocking parties and causing all around dancefloor mayhem.
I Loved Kid Sister from the first time I heard her Pro Nails Track with Kanye West way back last summer. Last week One of her tracks (Get Fresh (Alex Gopher Remix)) was posted on RcdLbl.com as MP3 of the day and I inspired me to share a couple of my Favorite Tracks.
I have been Listening Miike Snow on rcrdlbl.comfor sometime now and I just wanted to share it with everyone!
This is the first of many Artists that I will be sharing with the Charlie Says Fans
If you like MGMT then definitely check this guy out! You will love it… At least I do! I have been listening to it non stop since I got home from my photoshoot today!
